This lighting upgrade is a solution to the extremely dark back seat area in the Model 3 & Model Y.
These plug and play lights behave exactly the same as your OEM front footwell lights. When the headlights are on and the car is in park, the lights are on full. When the headlights are on and the car is in drive or reverse, the lights dim - creating a subtle, ambient glow.
Our back seat footwell lights are very high quality and feature 30 premium quality, extremely bright LEDs (as opposed to our competitors 12 LEDs). Also, this product ships with the 3M adhesive on the back of the light for affixing the light under the front seat. Everything you need to install is in the box. Please note - if you live in a really hot climate (for example, Texas) please let us know and we can send you some extra zip ties as the adhesive can melt from the extreme cabin heat.
Installation is quite easy as everything is plug and play - no wire splicing etc. You just pop down the footwell lighting panel, plug in the Y-adapter, run the cable and then stick the light under the front seat using the supplied adhesive.
